Kreuzgartenverein Schaag e. V.
A community that makes a difference
The Cross Garden and Mary Garden in Schaag are much more than a quiet place of remembrance — they are a living example of what is possible when people take responsibility together. These grounds have been supported, maintained and developed by committed citizens for decades.
At the heart of this commitment is the Cross Garden association, Kreuzgartenverein Schaag e. V., bringing together families, neighbourhoods, groups of friends, and associations who devote their time, ideas and passion to the preservation and future of the gardens. The work started by Pastor Peter Schallenberg in 1949 is carried on today by the community, in the spirit of peace, remembrance and unity.
